The best way to celebrate the summer is with food, friends, and fun! A Pool party has all three. I personally love flamingos so incorporating them into the decor makes it fun and colorful. Invest in some large flamingo blow up floats to race your friends across the pool. Pink flamingo beach balls for pool volleyball and flamingo rubber ducks that you can squirt with water guns are a good time. For the lawn chairs you can have bright flamingo-themed beach towels for your guests to enjoy.

I like to arrange the yard flamingos around the landscape of the pool. You may accent your party with pops of pink and add some lighting for nighttime dips in the pool. For the times you are sharing outside of the pool you may provide your guests with pink sunglasses, flip flops and flamingo t-shirts or beach coverups.

Celebrate the amazing flamingo and your amazing friends, as well. Gather under a shaded spot with umbrellas or an awning. Provide sunscreen and bug spray to prevent uncomfortable encounters. Bites and burns are no fun.

Flamingo plates and napkins and possibly a backdrop for pictures will make it a true themed party. Keep the fluids flowing so plenty of ice-cold drinks which could include pretty drinks with umbrellas and refreshing teas, lemonades, and flavored waters.

Fruits and veggies along with light salads and sandwiches help keep the energy up. Popsicles or ice cream treats help us feel like kids again.

Don’t forget some peppy tunes and island music to get you into the mood. You may end your evening with an outdoor movie and nighttime dip.
