One of my favorite things about a birthday party is the dessert. We were allowed to select our dessert each year for our birthday. My Grandma was an excellent cook, so I requested her Angel Food Cake with the sugary icing in the color PINK or her Lemon Meringue Pie that was out of this world. Since my Grandma is no longer able to prepare these desserts for me, I now find myself going to local family bakeries to get a decadent chocolate cake or chocolate eclairs with a smooth custard filling. No one else has been able to make the desserts as she did so I decided to go with things that are completely different! I have found that all of these choices are delicious!
